Drawing on Fosse's text *And Never Shall We Be Parted*, Emma Öberg and Jon Bugge Mariussen explore how time, memories, and experiences leave their mark on the body. The performance examines the visible and invisible aspects of a human being, and how past, present, and future can coexist.
In close interplay with dancer and musician Tuva Færden, space and time open up, where feelings, memories and dreams blend into each other and shape the moment experienced here and now. The audience is invited into a sensory and atmospheric encounter between dance, text and music, where multiple realities are allowed to coexist.
The musical expression spans widely, featuring instruments such as the Harding-fiddle and lyre. The movement language combines contemporary dance with influences from Norwegian folk dance, percussion, and Balinese traditional dance. The performance marks the first artistic collaboration between Öberg and Mariussen.
