Festive month at Tanken Arena

After months of preparation, it's time for the official opening of Tanken Arena. Markella will be the first to take to the stage, but she's just the start of a programme that will span more than a month.

Ål aims for a Norwegian record with trout sandwiches

Trout shortage? Not in Ål. On Saturday, 40 kilos of trout, 300 eggs and 1,200 slices of bread will be turned into a sandwich that stretches a full 100 metres through the Ål shopping centre. The public is invited to watch the long loaf take shape, after which they will have the opportunity to taste the record for themselves.
