FIS Telemark World Cup 2026

Ål IL is hosting the 5th FIS World Cup round in Telemark. Competitors from 10 nations will be coming to compete for World Cup points in Sprint, Classic, and Parallel disciplines.

Telemark combines several different elements where the traditional telemark turn must be used through the gates. It's flong jump with telemark impact, through a demanding Rehearsal and finally finish with a skating part.

Ål IL is sending 3 local runners!
Will you be watching a race must it be the Fart-filled parallels on Saturday 14.02 from 10:00 am with finals at 12:00 pm.

PThe programme for the weekend includes, among other things:

• Friday 13.02: World Cup Sprint – individual sprint race where speed, technique and control The ingredients are.

• Saturday 13.02: World Cup parallel finals – two athletes race side-by-side in an exciting showdown that often features nail-biting duels.

• Sunday 15.02: World Cup Classic – a longer and tactically demanding competition format that tests both endurance and technique.
