On stage are Birgitte Stærnes on violin and Helge Kjekshus on piano. The programme features music that plays on temperament and drive, from Hungarian Dances by Brahms to Czardas by Monti and Zigeunerweisen by Sarasate.
Birgitte Stærnes has performed concerts and at festivals across large parts of the world, and together with Helge Kjekshus, the audience will hear the power and expression contained within music for violin and piano. The grand piano in the Opera Barn, named Staslin, also takes its place in this interplay, with both warm tones and speed.
