Marius Roth Christensen is a well-known name to both opera and rock audiences. He first broke through as guitarist and vocalist in Seigmen, before his impressive voice led him further into the world of opera. He debuted as Tamino in The Magic Flute In 2006, he became a permanent member of the solo ensemble at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet until 2024. Additionally, he has made a name for himself on stages in Norway and Europe, and in recent years, also as a popular television personality on programmes such as Starmap and Beat for Beat.

The New Year's concert will feature a hand-picked selection of his favourite songs, performed in collaboration with Opera Barn's own Marit Sehl and the acclaimed pianist Monica Tomescu-Rohde. It will be a concert combining opera gems, musical theatre, powerful melodies, and genuine joy of performance.

With three outstanding performers on stage, an atmospheric and musically rich afternoon is promised – a worthy celebration of the New Year.
