Lecture: Twenty-four hours of life and death, The Ål Air Ambulance

Friday 4th September at 18.00, Consultant Magnus Varlid Lauritzen will give the lecture A day and night with life and death, The Ål Air Ambulance at Ål Library. Here, the audience will get an insight into how an air ambulance mission takes place, from the alarm sounding until the patient is on their way to hospital.

In Ål, the sound of the air ambulance is well known. In this lecture, the audience will get to know the local air ambulance better and learn about the work that is done when help needs to arrive quickly.

Magnus Varlid Lauritzen takes the audience behind the scenes of an air ambulance mission and talks about what happens from the moment the alarm goes off, through the mission and up to the onward transport to hospital.

There will also be glimpses of Norwegian nature and local geography seen from the air.
