In the performance, you will meet the squirrel Ratatosk and the bird Vidhofnir. They are good friends, although Vidhofnir can be a bit bossy. Together they will tell you about the Aesir and humans, and about how the Viking world was created.
Ratatosk and Vidhofnir bring a total of ten different instruments up into the tree. A planetarium displays the constellations the Big Dipper, Orion's Belt, and the North Star on the ceiling. The audience joins an interactive journey where they can help save Ratatosk from evil snakes by helping Vidhofnir to sing. Along the way, the audience will become familiar with Norse sagas, Nordic medieval music, and ancient star formations.
The music is based on historical sources, and medieval harp, recorders, drums, violin, and singing are used, among other things. After the performance, it is possible to get closer, look at and try some of the instruments.
With Linnéa Sundfær Casserly and Inga Mathilde Gorset.
