Almost a month after 22 July, Rebekka is about to start upper secondary school. She didn't know any of those who died, and thinks she ought to be able to return to everyday life. She tries to get involved in the school revue, school, parties, friends and Daniel with the curly hair. Even so, she cannot stop thinking about what happened.
Missed call is about searching for meaning in the face of meaninglessness, about how difficult it can be to reach one another, and how important it is when we succeed. At the same time, it is a story about a lasting friendship, and about the fact that there are ways back.
When the National Touring Theatre dramatises Nora Dåsnes’ graphic novel 15 years after 22 July, the aim is to give young people hope and help to understand their own anxiety in the face of a troubled world.
Maja Christensen, known from NRK's Rådebank, stars as Rebekka.
