In autumn, winter and spring, the hike leads from the farm into the forest and across pastures with great views over Hallingdalen and into the mountains. In summer, the hike takes place in the high mountains at Fekjastølen, approximately 1000 metres above sea level.
Alpaca walks are suitable for all ages. Children over the age of 12 can walk with the alpaca alone, while younger children must be accompanied by an adult. The experience lasts 60-90 minutes, depending on how far and fast you want to go.
You don't need to be particularly fit to take part, but you should be able to walk on slightly varied surfaces. If you want an easier route, the tour can be organised on a gravel road. It is also possible to add a small photo stop along the way if desired.
The alpacas
Alpacas have far more personality and characteristics than many people realise. During the tour, the guide will tell you about the animals, their history, how they live and what they are used for (e.g. production of wool and yarn).
You'll get to know the particular alpaca you're given, and it's easy to recognise that they have names and habits of their own.
