Hike description

From the mountain lodge, follow the well-marked trail eastwards and into easy mountain terrain. The route goes around the entire Bergsjøen lake, a round trip of approx. 8.5 kilometres, and passes several beautiful areas with boulders that make it easy to get around, even in wet areas.

After about 4 kilometres you'll come to a shelter, a perfect place for a break and packed lunch, with great views of the water. There's also a mailbox with a guest book and pincers for those who collect hiking destinations.

The walk continues along the water's edge and offers regular views towards Reineskarvet in the north. The trail winds through an open and friendly landscape, and it's easy to let your mind wander as you walk.

You'll finish the tour back at Bergsjøstølen Fjellstue, which has a self-service kiosk where you can get something good to eat or drink before or after the tour.
