Alpine

Whether you want to make turns like Braathen or learn the art of skiing, there are opportunities in Ål. We have two ski centres that offer trails of varying difficulty.

Ål Ski Centre has a total of 13 kilometres of trails with varying degrees of difficulty. The ski centre is best known for Svartebergløypa, which is one of Norway's best giant slalom trails. Both the men's and women's national alpine skiing teams have often travelled this route.

But you don't have to be a pro to enjoy the slopes. The ski centre also has a great slope for beginners and children.

A little further into the mountains you'll find Skarslia Ski and Toboggan Centre, which is actually Norway's largest tobogganing facility, but you can also go skiing. In Skarslia you'll find the full range from green to black runs. There's also a separate children's lift and a floodlit descent.

Whether you're looking for speed and excitement or want to enjoy quiet days on the slopes, Ål has something for you.
