Trout shortage? Not in Ål. On Saturday, 40 kilos of trout, 300 eggs and 1,200 slices of bread will be turned into a sandwich that stretches a full 100 metres through the Ål shopping centre. Ål, Thursday 9 May: The 2025 pole hunt is officially underway, and the enthusiasm is not long in coming. As early as 6am this morning, the first two maps were opened - one around Ål town centre and one in Torpo. By the time the clock struck nine, one eager participant had already managed to find all 73 poles!

Congratulations on your birthday! The entire municipality of Ål is marking the national day with celebrations in three locations - Ål town centre, Torpo and Nordbygdene. We're looking forward to filling the day with music, trains, sing-alongs, speeches, games and fellowship.

Ål is a hiker's paradise with mountains, plains, caves, forests and beautiful fishing and swimming lakes. That's why trackless traffic in Ål is important when we're out and about.
