The Swedish mezzo-soprano Lovisa Huledal and the Polish-Danish pianist Filip Michalak have found their musical community in their passion for the art of romance and translated voices. In this concert, they highlight women who composed - and were often forgotten.
Through music, storytelling and empathy, the duo presents works by composers such as Elfrida Andrée, Clara Schumann, Cécile Chaminade, Fanny Hensel Mendelssohn, Nathalie Netzel, Lili Boulanger, Laura Netzel, Amanda Maier, Jenny Lind Knight's Column, Pauline Viardot, Helena Munktell, Johanna Tengér - and more.
The concert shows how the women not only composed in the shadow of their male colleagues, but also actively interacted artistically with their contemporaries - in salons, on stationery and in concert halls.
🎶 An evening of delicate tones, powerful stories and great music - from composers who deserve to be sung, listened to and remembered.
