From 11 October to 23 November 2025, Galleri Syningen is marking the 50th anniversary of Rolf Nesch's (1893-1975) passing. The exhibition honours one of Norway's most innovative visual artists and shows both his own works and works by close artist friends.
Two of Hallingdal's most prominent photographers meet in the anniversary exhibition "Bry & Brye" in Galleri Syningen. The exhibition celebrates both Knut Bry from Hovet, who turns 80 in 2026, and Ole Johannes Brye from Ål, who turns 70 in 2025. Together, they have documented life, nature and people for decades and left a deep mark on the history of Norwegian photography.
Lørdag 29. november klokken 18.00 inviterer Galleri Syningen til den offisielle åpningen av jubileumsutstillingen «Bry & Brye». Denne kvelden markeres to store milepæler i norsk fotografi, når Knut Bry fra Hovet og Ole Johannes Brye fra Ål hedres for sine mange tiår bak kamera.
