Family day with Arne Brimi at Trettestølane

Join us for a family day with Arne Brimi at Trettestølane (1030 metres above sea level) in Ål in Hallingdal!

This mountain area has many active caves, and in December 2024 the Norwegian cave culture was inscribed on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage.

Arne Brimi shares the thoughts behind the adventurous "Vianvang" and gives an inspiring talk about food traditions and the importance of preserving and communicating food, culture and history in close interaction with the surrounding nature.

There will be music and cultural performances by Margit Myhr (vocals) and Ingebjør Sørbøen Torsgard (hardingfele), as well as a horseshoe competition and games for children of all ages.

Sale of patches and kvikaku, mountain sour cream straight from Gunhildgard mountain farm, coffee etc.

The event takes place outdoors - feel free to bring a camping chair or seating mat. Take it as a nice Sunday trip on foot or by bike! Parking is somewhat limited and you should expect to walk a short distance from the car park. It is possible to drop off passengers at the address.
