We welcome you to an interesting theme evening with exciting topics and inspiring speakers - the event is open to everyone!
Martha Lindstad (33) is originally from Asker, but spent much of her childhood in Hallingdal. Twelve years ago, she travelled to the other side of the world to work in agriculture.
After working with sheep and dairy cows on farms in New Zealand, she travelled to Australia. Since 2017, she has been working in the cattle industry, and today she runs a cattle farm the size of Hemsedal municipality - with up to 3,000 cows.
The farm practises holistically planned grazing, where sustainable utilisation of outlying land, strengthening biodiversity and economic profitability are key. This takes place in a demanding climate with drought, flooding and fire as frequent challenges.
The basic principles of good grazing are the same all over the world, and Martha will share her experiences and thoughts on future-oriented agriculture with a focus on soil health and long-term sustainability.
We will also be visited by Anders Nordstad, known to many as the former Secretary General of the Norwegian Farmers' and Smallholders' Association. He is a clear voice in the debate on Norwegian food production and chain power, and is strongly committed to farmers' conditions in Norway today.
Tor Jacob Solberg, current leader of the Norwegian Farmers' Union, is known to many as one of the initiators of the #bondeopprøret. He is an uncompromising champion of the Norwegian farmer - all year round - and does not hesitate to speak out when power needs to be challenged.
Join us for an evening of insight, engagement and discussion about the future of agriculture!
