A barneopera.
The opera follows the life of the fox Smartøre. She is captured by the forest ranger and taken home to his farm. The forester thinks the fox can become his pet, but the fox wants to be free and live in the forest. She runs away from the farm and meets another fox, Gullstripe. Together they have fox cubs and make a home. But the forest can be a dangerous place, and Smartøre must look after herself and her family. With Più Sinfonietta and a local children's choir with pupils from Ål kulturskule. Musical director Kristoffer Nikolai Wøien. Music by Leos Janacek.
The performance lasts approximately 45 minutes.
