- "We've organised a day where there's something going on all the time, for young and old alike. This will be a real day of celebration for the village," says Ål Utvikling's general manager.
100 metre trout loop
The centrepiece of the day is the sandwich that will stretch through the centre. It will be 100 metres long and made from 40 kilos of trout, 300 eggs and 1200 slices of bread. The public is invited to take part in the record attempt, and of course get to taste the result.
- "It's a fun way to bring people together and put Ål on the map. We hope lots of people will join us when we organise this slightly crazy but very tasty record," says the general manager.
Dance and magic in the middle of the streets
Throughout the day, the city centre is transformed into a living stage. Magician JoJo conjures up laughter and wide-eyed children, and shortly afterwards JAM surprises with a dance in the middle of the street. JAM is a pop-up performance inspired by club and street dance culture, where the dancers bring music and create small moments of energy and community in the middle of the street. The audience can watch, listen - and join in themselves.

Team Bachstad to Ål
In the evening, attention moves to Ål Culture Centre. First, Øystein Bache and Rune Gokstad, better known as Team Bachstad, take the stage at 17.00. Here they share highlights, mistakes and untold stories from their many TV adventures around the world.
- "We're incredibly happy to have Team Bachstad here. They are popular and full of good stories. We think this will be an attraction for many," says the general manager.
Later in the evening we invite SideSprang to a crash course in folk dancing at the culture centre, before the band Hekate ends the party with a concert.
Official opening of Tanken
When the market closes, the party continues. At 16.00, the new Tanken Arena will be officially opened, with coffee, cake and sausages for everyone. Later in the evening there will be concert with Markella at Tanken, where there is no age limit, so everyone can join in.
It's extra fun that an artist from Ål, who's attracting attention all over the country, is on stage when Tanken opens. This makes the opening extra special.
A weekend for everyone
From record-breaking sandwiches and local flavours to folk dancing, magic and music. The autumn market in Ål offers a weekend where everyone can find something to enjoy.
- "We're looking forward to filling the town centre with people, laughter and great experiences. This will be a weekend we won't soon forget," says the CEO of Ål Utvikling.
For those who want more, Operalåven also offers a concert this weekend.
