There will be a real market atmosphere with stalls in abundance, locally sourced food, creative features and entertainment from morning to night. The programme will be released in dribs and drabs, but one thing is certain: You won't be bored.
A children's hero in the centre
The kids will be cheering - because Peppa Pig Coming! The cheeky and beloved children's character is coming to Ål town centre, much to the delight of little fans. There will be a children's show, hugs, laughter and guaranteed long queues to meet Peppa.
And did you know that Peppa has recently received a younger sister? The series is changing, and interest in Peppa is greater than ever.
Flavours, atmosphere and meeting places
Ål Day isn't just about shopping and shows - it's about community. The scent of wheatgraut and freshly baked pastries spreads between the stalls, and local food producers offer local delicacies and genuine crafts. The exhibitors will be announced closer to the event day.
Along the pedestrianised street you can taste, shop and chat to old friends. There will be activities for the kids, little surprises along the way - and music to set the mood.
Shellfish night at Bear House Burger
The weekend starts on Friday 25 July with shellfish juices at Bear House Burger in collaboration with fishmonger Kim Rudi. Fresh prawns, crab, mussels and good music give you the perfect start to the Ål weekend.
Concert with Tom & The Fortunates
As Saturday night approaches, the stage is being set up outside Bear House Burger. That's where you'll find Tom & The Fortunates, one of the country's most energetic and entertaining live bands. With humour, punch and good, old-fashioned rock'n'roll, it's a party under the stars. And when the band stops, it's far from over: DJ Jonas1 takes over and ensures that the party continues well into the summer night.
Morning hour with auction
Are you an early bird? Saturday at 09:00 opens The auction in Sundrehall, organised by Hallingauksjon. Here you can make unique discoveries among antiques and curiosities from many estates.
Bring your family and friends and join us for the most enjoyable day of the summer in Ål. There will be flavours, smiles and an atmosphere you'll want to take with you. See you on 26 July!
