Espen Bille-Larsen is a former emergency preparedness advisor in Ål and Hol municipalities. In his lecture, he shares advice on self-preparedness and what individuals can do to manage as well as possible on their own.

The Government has decided that 2026 will be a Total Defence Year, focusing on society's ability to defend the country together. An important part of this is that as many people as possible should be able to manage on their own as well as possible, so that the authorities can prioritise those who need help the most.

Self-preparedness is therefore an important part of the total defence.
