Kjetil Kjelle is a folk singer from Raufoss and, in the 1980s, he led the folk club Bikuben at Det Norske Teatret in Oslo together with Morten Askeli. The club had regular visitors including Lillebjørn Nilsen and Kari Svendsen. Through this, Kjelle developed a close relationship with Lillebjørn's songs, which he has since performed on numerous occasions.
In 2025, he will have toured the country with concerts based on Lillebjørn Nilsen's treasure trove of folk songs. Kjetil Kjelle has also had several chart placings in recent years, including on Norsktoppen and Ti i skuddet with the song «Heia Norge ÅÅ».
With him on stage are Arne Sandum and Hallgeir Hansen. Arne Sandum is well-known to many as the bassist in Hellbillies until his retirement. He has been active in a number of musical contexts throughout a long musical career, from The Clinkers in the 1960s to folk music, old-time dance music and various band formations. In addition, he plays guitar and accordion.
Hallgeir Hansen has been a central part of the music scene in Hallingdal since 1975. He has played in, among others, Hallingrock, Shag, Ivar Andresen septett, and Uflax, as well as several other projects. Musically, he spans from traditional jazz and rock to dance bands and old-time dance music.
The audience can expect an evening of well-loved songs by Lillebjørn Nilsen, performed by experienced musicians with a strong connection to the folk song tradition.
