Tveitehaug Gard
- Alpaca adventures for the whole family
On Tveitehaug Gard alpacas, cows, horses, chickens and cats await in Votndalen. The farm is run with warmth and care by the married couple Oddveig and Jon Olav. Here you can join us alpaca hike both summer and winter. The tours are suitable for both young and old, and the animals are calm, curious and easy to love.
They also offer accommodation in tree-top cabins, as well as cabin hire both in the mountains and by the sea. In addition, Jon Olav runs Ål Byggservice, which offers everything from furniture production to cabin services.
Open for alpaca hiking all year round - by appointment

Fagerdalen Støl
- The flavour of mountain life, kvikaku and mountain fun
On the mountainside above Ål lies Fagerdalen, a living farm where the cows roam freely and farmhouse food is made by hand, just as it was done in the old days. In the old Stølsbue, you'll be served rømmegrøt, kvikaku, mountain butter and cheese made from milk from your own cows.
You can also meet small, sociable pigs, enjoy the mountain air and buy real farm products to take home with you, such as pultost, wooden cheese, ferskost and surystil. At Fagerdalen Støk, it's all about tradition, craftsmanship and genuine flavour.

Iungsdalshytta
- Mountain tranquillity, mountain farming and spectacular scenery
Where Iungsdalen and Fødalen meet, in the centre of Skarvheimen, between Jotunheimen and Hardangervidda, lies Iungsdalshytta. Here you can enjoy mountain tranquillity, go on varied hikes and experience mountain farming in beautiful surroundings.
The cabin has 52 beds in 2-6-bed rooms and separate dog rooms. There is no mobile phone coverage here, but electricity comes from the cabin's own micro power station. Here you can paddle, fish, eat well and sleep safely.
