Write yourself and take care of your memories!
Do you need some inspiration and advice to get started writing about your memories? The world is changing fast, and maybe you're one of those who think that we need to preserve the memories of yesterday for our children and grandchildren.
Kristi Kinsarvik has a master's degree in non-fiction writing and has herself written the book Childhood between East and West about her childhood. She is now coming to Ål library to hold a writing course. How can we memorise more than we think, and how can we check that what we write is right? In addition, you can get some good advice on how to take care of what you have written. She will also read from her own book.
Kristi has created a simple course for people who want to write about their own childhood and family, and many have started writing. Preserving memories from one's own life is a source of joy for both oneself and one's descendants.
The course lasts for 2.5 hours.
Single serving.
The course is free, but sign up by "buying" a free ticket in eBillett or at the culture centre desk.
Organised by Ål Library and Ål Volunteer Centre.
