The Opera Barn

Operalåven is a cultural venue in Ål in Hallingdal. The barn is located high up on the hillside in Votndalen, almost 800 metres above sea level, on a stately farm dating from the early 1700s. From the farm, you have spectacular views across Hallingdal and the mountains – even when you are inside the premises.

Operalåven is the only organiser in Buskerud that regularly offers opera events. Our regular concert series are the New Year's Concert, Easter Chime, and Summer Opera. In addition, we have the pleasure of inviting you to other concerts throughout the year, often in collaboration with other organisers such as Fryd Scene.

The Opera Barn can also be hired for various events.
