Iungsdalshytta

North of Hallingskarvet, where Iungsdalen and Fødalen meet, lies this pleasant cabin. Here you are right between Jotunheimen and Hardangervidda, in the magnificent landscape of Skarvheimen.

With Iungsdalshytta as your base, you can enjoy wonderful walks in both summer and winter. These make for lovely day trips, ranging from easy, child-friendly circular routes to demanding summit hikes. The distance from the sheltered valleys to the barren peaks is short. In addition, the cabin is both a natural starting point and an overnight stop for a circular tour through the area.

During the summer at Iungsdalshytta, you can also experience, among other things, lively mountain pasture life with cows, sheep, goat kids, pigs and hens in the mountain pasture, and not least, fantastic fishing and paddling opportunities.
